Summer flower shooting skills

A lot of people think there's a lot to shoot in spring, www.customcanvasonline.com.au fall and winter, and not much to shoot in summer. Actually the subject matter that summer can film is the most, resemble all sorts of flowers and plants to be in summer the best-looking, also be optimal photograph opportunity. Today I would like to tell you about some techniques for shooting flowers and plants in summer. I hope they are helpful to you.

(1)composition has visual center

No matter what kind of flower you are shooting, use the center composition to arrange the flowers in the center of the picture. Then shoot with a large aperture so you can get a picture of the flower with a clear visual center.

(2) large aperture shallow depth of field

Long focal point, use a large aperture, take a picture of beautiful flowers with a blurred background, use a large aperture to blur the background can control the picture more carefully. If you don't have a large aperture, you can use foreground occlusion to blur.

(3)Place the main body in the focal plane

In order to highlight the lines of the subject, you must focus clearly. You also need to adjust the Angle of the camera so that the branches are on a focal plane.

(4)the single background is clear

Try to choose a clean and simple background when shooting flowers, which can effectively highlight the subject and make the picture very appealing. If the background is too messy, too many colors will affect the main body, in addition, the whole picture will look very messy.

(5)the reverse light is transparent

When shooting flowers, backlight can be used to shoot. Under the backlight environment, the texture of branches and petals of flowers can be displayed, making the whole picture look very bright.

(6)visual changes have ups and downs

When shooting flowers, the foreground can be used for shooting, which can effectively increase the depth and three-dimensional sense of the picture. In addition, the use of foreground photography is also used to create a near and far, from bottom to top; there is a visual migration effect.

(7)take a wide Angle small aperture

Put the camera close to the flowers and shoot at a low Angle. When stretched at a wide Angle, the flowers will become the visual center of the picture.

Black background

Many people also like to use black background when shooting flowers. Photography is the art of subtraction. Shooting black background is the best subtraction. Here's how to take a picture of a flower with a black background.

(1) Borrow props

Before taking a picture with a solid black background, look for a black cloth or even a black umbrella. Then put the black cloth behind the object you want to shoot and use it as the background. When you shoot with a large aperture or macro, the background will be blurry and completely black. For example: the picture below is a black cloth as the background, obviously you can see it.

(2) Correct exposure

When shooting, use aperture priority mode to shoot, and then use point metering to measure the light of the main body. The metering area must be the brightest place for the object to be photographed, and the exposure compensation must be deducted by about one gear when shooting, so that the background will become pure black due to insufficient exposure.

(3) Choose a darker place to shoot the scene as the background

In fact, this is the same as the first item borrowed props, but here is the shooting environment. When shooting, choose an environment with a large contrast between the main body and the background. The background should be dark, while the main body should be bright, preferably with direct light. It's best to shoot in aperture first mode, but don't set the aperture too high, and then measure the light at the brightest point in the subject.

According to the previous experience, we suggest that when shooting, you can choose the shadow as the background, and arrange the subject in a better position, so that the contrast between the subject and the background will be great. Finally, blur the background with the proper aperture, and the background will be black.
