1: tripod and Angle.

Depending on your lighting conditions, canvas prints online may or may not need a tripod and a shutter release. I suggest using these devices, because with these devices, you can better observe and photograph your objects. These devices also allow the aperture to be slightly longer, canvas prints allowing the image to move forward, and the background is blurred to add to what you need.

However, don't let the camera of a fixed position limit your creativity. Once you use a tripod, it's easy to forget that all photos are taken from one Angle because of the location. You need to make sure that you can adjust the Angle and height when you shoot. Otherwise, before you know and make adjustments, your entire series of photographs is taken from an Angle, and the changes are very small and extremely limited. Angle and height can be adjusted simultaneously. You can try a bird's eye view to shoot objects from above, but be careful not to cast shadows on objects while moving.

2: use the background correctly.

Choosing a good background plays an important role in creating a successful work. Choose a background that is simple but beautiful, and it won't have a big impact on what you're photographing. A plain wall or a large white or plain paper is a good choice.

You need to think carefully about whether you want a neutral background if you choose the background, or you need to match the background with the object. For some smaller objects, is likely to use a background not to use it, you can use a substrate instead of, for example black velvet going on good choice, because it can absorb piping, the substrate to open up is pure black.

3: the combination of shoot elements.

The combination of various creative elements is very important for the creation of a unique and exquisite still photography work. Combining the three-point rule, you should consider how to make your work the best combination of elements. Make sure that there is no distracting element in the picture, only the subject and the background.

Try to use some creative thinking to change the combination of elements. What do you want the audience to focus on? Will you make full use of the space around the object? Is it possible to try to fill the picture? What is the most striking feature of your subject? What is it used for? Is it part of the whole, or as a separate entity?

4: shoot repeatedly.

I can often feel that the purpose of shooting determines the mood in the work. So if I'm just trying to relax myself and take photos (against someone who's assigned to you), I'm going to have very little pressure, so I can make sure that I'm doing a good job of reproducing what I'm trying to say. It must be bad habit to do things aimlessly, but it might be good for still life photography. Because you need enough time to complete your masterpiece.

Unlike scene photography, light does not change quickly; unlike the characters, your subject won't get bored, and it won't change any more. These are the advantages of still photography; you can fix your subject, light, background, and camera, take some pictures, change them, and continue shooting. If you don't feel good about yourself, you can walk away for a while and have a cup of coffee and go back to filming.

There is no reason to not exclude clear and clean photos, because you have enough time to adjust the light and focus. If you have a macro lens at hand, that's fine, but if not, try choosing your camera's macro mode so you can better capture the details of your object.

5. Select subject

What kind of photos you take is up to you. Look around the house for fun but simple things to start with. Never think you have to shoot a fruit or a flower like everyone else, and you can choose to shoot with an open mind, but don't choose a difficult one.

When you're out and around, if something catches your eye, take it home (but not steal it), or make a mark and take it later. Avoid objects with reflective surfaces, such as grass and metal that are hard to control. Once you have mastered the technique of shooting a single object, try to take a few physical pictures together, preferably several physical shapes, colors and textures, to see if you can make a good effect.

6: the light

Don't have to use very expensive equipment light, I am very clear my budget can't afford a set of complete studio lighting, so I will try to use my hand to be able to use the light of the equipment to shoot still life. Please remember all aspects of photography requires under your control, join you feel the same way, you need to find a room to use barrier or curtain to block all the natural light, so you can complete control of irradiation light on your subject.

If you can use ordinary lighting effectively, you can achieve good results. Be sure to try a few more places in addition to the object. The light from the side and back can increase the interest, light and depth of the lens. Otherwise, you can choose a room with light only from one window, as a favorable condition. Light from an Angle, you can use other lights or reflectors to adjust the lighting.

7: try one hand

Now is the time for you to try your hand. Find a free time in your calendar to practice. Try setting up your camera, setting your background, leaning against the window to get the right light, and start shooting.

Once you've mastered the basics, you can do some experiments by changing the Angle of the camera, the Angle of the light, or using a variable light source, such as a candle and a lamp. The aperture is also a part of the creative process, with the use of f/1.8 fixed focus lens to obtain the special focal background artistic effect. If you're using something as a test object, shoot it. Still photography isn't just fruit and flowers. So, find a unique and attractive object to start with and start shooting.

8: inspired by masterpieces.

If you're obsessed with light, composition, and composition, you might need some inspiration. The best way to find inspiration is to look at the still-life works of many years ago. Look up the art works of the Renaissance period and look closely at the elements of these works.

Studying these works will help you think better about composition, large canvas prints shadow and color. I hope this will give you the inspiration to produce more wonderful works.
