Choose a photo Christmas ornament with confidence
The material name is only part of the choice. The printed finish, shape and amount of space for your photo affect how the finished ornament looks. Use this guide to understand material descriptions; available products and their exact options are shown in the collection.

Before selecting your ornament: compare the dimensions, printing sides and included hanging accessory. Double-sided printing means both faces are printed; whether the front and back can have different artwork is a separate product option.
Give your photo room to fit
- Start with the original file. Use the camera or phone image where possible; a screenshot or a photo saved from a message may contain less detail.
- Keep the subject large enough to recognise. At a small ornament size, faces in a wide group photo can become tiny. A closer portrait often works better.
- Allow for the crop. A rectangular photo cropped to fill a circular shape loses its corners. Keep faces, ears, hands and important wording clear of the outer edge and any hanging hole.
- Keep text short and readable. Check names, dates and spelling. Use a clear contrast against the photo if you add text.

Is a phone photo suitable?
A clear original phone photo can work well. Start with the original JPG/JPEG or PNG where possible. As a calculation example, an 8 cm image at 300 pixels per inch is about 945 pixels across. Blur and heavy cropping can still reduce detail, so image sharpness matters as well as pixel count. What size Christmas tablecloth do you need?
Measure the tabletop itself, including any extension leaves. The drop is the fabric hanging over the edge. A 20 cm drop is a useful starting point for a dining table; a longer drop changes the look and may sit closer to your guests' laps. Choose the drop that suits your seating and table height.

Checking an available size? A 240 cm × 150 cm cloth on a 180 cm × 90 cm table gives a 30 cm drop all around. On a 200 cm × 90 cm table, the same cloth gives 20 cm at the ends and 30 cm at the sides. Calculate both directions rather than relying only on the number of seats.

Sending a Christmas gift directly?

Personalisation is available on selected products, including photo Christmas ornaments. Those products show the photo and text options they support. Christmas tablecloths and other ready-designed items are ordered from their listed designs and sizes.
Can I put a photo on the front and a message on the back?
Choose a product that specifically supports different artwork on each side. Double-sided printing can also mean the same design is repeated on both faces. The printing-side options on the selected ornament determine whether a separate reverse message is possible.
Is a ribbon or hanging cord included?
Use the included-accessories information for the ornament you choose. A hanging hole and an included ribbon or cord are separate details; confirm the listed accessory so you know what will arrive with your ornament.
Can I preview my personalised design before ordering?
Where Upload Photos & Design is available, you can upload, edit and preview your image online before adding it to your cart. Review the crop and wording carefully. If you need image advice or help with the design, contact our team before ordering.

How should I store my decorations after Christmas?
