Start with the finished product

Stretched, floating frame or rolled canvas?

A canvas print reproduces your photo or artwork on textured canvas. The main choice is how it is finished: stretched on an internal frame, completed with a floating outer frame, or supplied rolled for separate framing.

Choose your photo layout

One photo, a collage or several canvases?

Single photo

One photograph or artwork on one canvas. Choose the shape that best matches the composition.

Photo collage

Several photos arranged on one canvas. Keep each photo large enough for faces and details to remain visible.

Split canvas

One image spread across separate panels. Check where the breaks fall, especially across faces, text and buildings.

Gallery wall set

A group of separate canvases displayed together. Measure the entire arrangement, including the spaces between prints.

Layout illustrations explain the formats; available panel counts, shapes and arrangements are shown on each product page.

Size, shape and your wall

Choose dimensions that work with your photo

Start with your photo proportions, then measure the space you want to fill. Choosing a matching shape often means less cropping.

Size examples in centimetres. Check the selected product for its available options and current price.
Shape Example sizes Choosing your photo
Square 30 × 30, 40 × 40, 60 × 60 cm A square composition or a photo that still works when cropped to equal sides.
Rectangle 30 × 45, 40 × 50, 50 × 75, 60 × 90 cm Portraits and landscapes. Note that 40 × 50 and 50 × 75 have different proportions.
Panoramic 30 × 90, 50 × 100, 50 × 150 cm Wide scenes or a composition with enough space to crop to a long format.

Check the photo ratio

A 40 × 60 cm print has the same proportions as 50 × 75 cm or 60 × 90 cm. Changing that photo to a square or 40 × 50 cm changes the crop. Review the composition at your chosen dimensions.

Check the full display size

Mark the outline on your wall with removable paper or wall-safe tape. For floating frames, confirm the overall outer dimensions; for multiple canvases, include the gaps between them.

For a larger feature piece, explore large canvas prints. If you need an unlisted size, send your dimensions, photo and preferred finish for advice.

Get the composition right

Check image quality, cropping and canvas edges

Use the best original file

Upload the original phone, camera or artwork file where possible. Screenshots and copies downloaded from social media or messaging apps may contain less detail.

Sharpness, pixel dimensions, the amount cropped away and the final print size all matter. A larger file size or a changed DPI label alone does not add real image detail.

Use an original JPG or PNG where possible. If you have a PDF, TIFF or a file that will not upload, contact us for a suitable way to send it.

Keep important details on the front

Look at faces, pet ears, text and signatures near each edge. Fitting the photo to a different shape can crop the image; preparing the canvas sides is a separate choice.

The online preview helps you check positioning. Ask us before ordering if a particular detail must stay visible or you need help assessing an enlargement.

Common wrap options. Use the choices listed for your selected product.
Edge finish How it looks What to consider
Gallery wrap The image continues around the canvas sides. Leave enough background so important parts do not wrap over the edge.
Mirror wrap The image edges are reflected onto the sides. Helps preserve the chosen front composition; the canvas shape may still require cropping.
Stretch wrap The image edges are stretched out to fill the canvas sides. Details on the sides may look elongated. Your photo may still need cropping to fit the chosen canvas proportions.
Solid colour wrap The sides use a plain colour. Useful when you prefer a separate edge colour. Confirm the available colour choices.

Photographic Detail on Textured Canvas

Epson 12-Colour Printing

Our canvas photo prints use Epson 12-colour pigment ink printing for photographic detail and tonal reproduction. The original image and chosen print size remain important to the final result.

A Textured Print Surface

Canvas gives photographs a tactile finish. Fine lettering and delicate detail can look different from a smooth screen image, so consider the artwork as well as the size.

Advice Before You Order

Send us your image, intended size and canvas style if you are unsure about an enlargement or crop. We can review suitability before you commit to the order.

Screens emit light and prints reflect it. Screen brightness, calibration and the lighting where you display your canvas can affect how colours appear.

Questions before you choose

Which canvas option is ready to hang?

Stretched canvases and complete floating frame canvas prints are supplied for wall display. Rolled canvas is print only and needs separate stretching or framing. Use wall fixings appropriate for your wall and the finished piece.

Can I use a photo taken on my phone?

Yes, if the original file is suitable for the chosen size. Send the original rather than a screenshot or compressed copy. We can advise on image suitability if you email the file and intended dimensions.

Does mirror wrap mean my photo will never be cropped?

No. Mirror wrap prepares the sides using reflected image edges. If your photo proportions differ from the canvas dimensions, fitting the front image can still require cropping. Check the preview at your selected size.

Can I order a size that is not listed?

Email the required width and height, preferred finish and original image. We can check the available production options and whether the photo suits those proportions before advising on a custom order.

Should I choose a collage or a gallery wall set?

A collage combines photos on one canvas. A gallery wall set uses separate canvases arranged together. Choose a collage for one finished piece, or a wall set when you want a multi-piece display.

Can I buy just a frame for my existing canvas?

Yes. Use the frame-only collection and provide your existing canvas width, height and depth. A floating frame canvas print is a different product that includes a newly printed canvas.

How should I look after my canvas?

Display it indoors, away from prolonged direct sunlight, persistent damp and heat sources. Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. Avoid soaking the print or using abrasive cleaners.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Contact us promptly with your order number and clear photos of the print, packaging and shipping label so our team can assess the issue and arrange the appropriate next step.
