Choose the look you love
Full image, a paper border or white matboard?
Keep the photograph visually bold, add space around it, or choose a separate matboard for a layered presentation. Select your preferred look under Print Presentation.
Illustrations compare presentation styles, rather than exact colours, border widths or finished dimensions. Natural white paper and white matboard may differ in tone.
| Presentation | What surrounds the image? | Separate board? | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full Image | No added white surround | No | Standard presentation |
| White Paper Border | An unprinted margin of the same natural white paper | No | Included presentation option |
| White Matboard | A white board with a cut-out window around the print | Yes | Paid upgrade; check the selected option for its price |
Full Image describes the surround, not a guarantee of no cropping. If your photograph and selected format have different proportions, some cropping may be needed. Check the layout before ordering.
Six finishes, one personal choice
Find a frame colour for your photograph and your home.
Look for a finish that picks up a tone in the image or works with nearby furniture. Use one colour across a gallery wall for a consistent look, or give a favourite photograph its own contrasting surround.
Swatches are an illustrative colour guide. Compare the product photographs for the actual finish and grain. Light Oak Finish and Walnut Finish are finish names, rather than claims about the timber species. Screen settings and room lighting affect colour appearance.
A considered standard
210gsm matt fine art paper, included with every print.
Every framed photo print uses Matte Etching Fine Art Paper (210gsm). Made from 100% alpha-cellulose, the paper is acid-free and has a natural white tone with a matt surface, rather than a glossy photo-paper finish.
We keep the paper consistent, so you can focus on choosing your size, frame colour and presentation. With White Paper Border, the surround is left unprinted: the colour you see is the paper itself.

Know your frame
A timber frame with a wood veneer finish.
A thin layer of wood veneer covers the timber frame’s exterior to create its finished surface. Choose the finish for its appearance, with the same frame profile across all six colours.
The moulding measures 20 mm across the front face and 30 mm deep from front to back. Face width describes the border of the frame itself; depth describes how far the moulding extends from front to back.

Get the fit right
Choose a format that works with your image.
A portrait, square crop and wide landscape need different layouts. Start with your photograph’s proportions, then consider the wall space and the amount of white surround you prefer.
Rectangle
A versatile choice for portraits, family photographs and landscapes. Choose an orientation and proportions that keep the subject comfortably in view.
Square
A balanced format for individual portraits and a consistent gallery wall. A rectangular original may need cropping to fit a square.
Panoramic
Consider a wide format for landscapes and travel images. Check the top and bottom edges so the crop keeps the details you want.
| Measurement | What it means | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Visible image area | The photograph or artwork you can see within the surround and frame opening. | Keep faces, lettering and signatures clear of the edges. |
| Paper size | The whole sheet, including any unprinted paper border. | A paper border occupies part of the sheet around the image. |
| Finished outer frame size | The outside width and height of the complete framed piece. | Use it to plan wall space and the gaps in a gallery wall. |

Before you order
Framed photo prints FAQs.
Does this include the photo print and the frame?
Yes. This product includes your image printed on the standard 210gsm fine art paper and fitted into your selected frame. You do not need to order an unframed print separately.
What paper is used for the print?
Matte Etching Fine Art Paper (210gsm) is included as standard. It is acid-free, made from 100% alpha-cellulose and has a natural white tone with a matt finish. There is no paper-type selection for this product.
Do framed photo prints have to include matboard?
No. Choose Full Image for no added white surround, or White Paper Border — Included for an unprinted margin of the same sheet. A separate White Matboard is available as a paid upgrade.
Is a white paper border the same as white matboard?
No. A paper border is part of the paper carrying your photograph. Matboard is a separate board with a window cut out to show the print. It adds a physical layer, and its white tone may differ from the natural white paper.
Will Full Image keep my entire original photograph?
Full Image means no white border or matboard is added. Different image and print proportions can still require cropping. Review the layout carefully, and contact us before ordering if every edge of the original must remain visible.
Can I print my own artwork or illustrations?
Yes. You can use a digital artwork or illustration as well as a photograph. Start with the best original file available, and keep important lettering or signatures away from the frame opening and any matboard window.
Is the frame wooden, and how large is its profile?
The frame is timber with a wood veneer finish. Its front face is 20 mm wide and its front-to-back depth is 30 mm. The finish names describe appearance; Light Oak Finish and Walnut Finish do not identify the timber species of the whole frame.
Will the print look exactly like my screen?
A screen emits light, while a print is viewed by reflected light. Screen brightness, device settings, paper tone and room lighting affect the appearance. Treat the online preview as a layout guide rather than an exact colour match.
Can I order a paper print without a frame?
Yes. Our Giclée Prints are supplied unframed and offer a choice of papers. This framed product uses one standard paper and includes your selected timber frame.
How should I care for my framed print?
Display it indoors, away from prolonged direct sunlight, damp conditions and direct heat. Dust the frame gently with a soft, dry cloth.
