Description
18x24 Floating Frame for a Canvas You Already Own
Add a separate outer frame to your finished painting or canvas print. This 18x24 floating frame surrounds an existing stretched canvas with a visible reveal, giving the artwork a floating effect and a defined perimeter.
Choose the finish around your artwork, then order using its actual outside measurements and thickness. The size name identifies the nominal canvas format; it is not the completed frame’s outside dimensions.
18x24, 46 x 61 cm or A2? Check the Size Behind the Label
Different shops describe artwork in inches, centimetres or A-series sizes. Use the references below to check the label, then let your ruler establish the dimensions for the frame.
| Size description | Dimensions in cm | What it means for your order |
|---|---|---|
| 18 x 24 inches | 45.72 x 60.96 cm | Exact conversion of this product’s nominal canvas format. Measure your canvas before entering dimensions. |
| 18x24 described as approximately 46 x 61 cm | A rounded reference | A rounded label is not a measurement. If your canvas actually measures 46 x 61 cm, enter those measured figures. |
| 45 x 60 cm | 45 x 60 cm | A metric label with different nominal dimensions. Check the physical canvas and confirm the correct listing if its format is unclear. |
| A2 | 42 x 59.4 cm | A different format: smaller in both dimensions than 18 x 24 inches. Ask about an appropriate frame for an A2 canvas. |
Three Checks Before Ordering Your 18x24 Canvas Frame
Record the Actual Width and Height
Measure the outside edges of the complete stretched canvas, including the wrapped fabric. Enter width x height in centimetres in Exact Size of Your Existing Canvas (in cm).
Keep decimals and record the intended display orientation. Do not add extra space for the floating reveal or frame border.
Match the Canvas Thickness
Use Depth (Thickness) of Your Existing Canvas to select the matching 2cm, 3cm or 4cm option.
These values refer to the existing canvas thickness. If yours is between the listed depths, contact us before choosing; do not round it to a convenient option.
Select the Colour and Review
Choose your finish under Floating Frame Color, then review the measurements and selected options before adding the frame to your cart.
Use Order Notes for relevant canvas details or fit information already discussed with us. Confirm unusual supports before ordering.
Choose the Border You Want to See Around the Artwork
A finish choice and a fit check answer different questions. Choose the colour for the display, while using the canvas measurements to establish the frame fit.
Seven Finishes to Compare
Black and White offer different levels of contrast around the artwork. Woodgrain and Light Woodgrain give a wood-look effect. Gold, Antique Gold and Silver add a metallic accent.
Compare the product images with the colours at your canvas edges and the wall behind it. Finish names describe the choices; they do not identify a timber species or confirm frame material.
Plan the Completed Display
The outer frame extends beyond the canvas. If the display must fit a narrow wall, an alcove or an existing arrangement, ask us for the finished outside dimensions of the selected option.
Your canvas will need to be fitted and secured in the frame. Contact us for fitting guidance or confirmation of whether fixing accessories are included with your option.
